My name is Shoshanna Jadoonanan and I created this blog in August 2016 in order to help others like me succeed. By others like me, I mean those who wish to become a physician someday.
You see, I've always wanted to be a doctor, as you might infer from the picture of me as a toddler on this page. However, this lifelong aspiration was not fully solidified until I lost my mother at the young age of 12, in the year 2007, just a day after my birthday.
My mother suffered a lot in her short life, dying at the young age of 41. Among those problems were alcohol abuse following severe physical abuse (almost causing her death numerous times) by those around her who you might expect to care about her the most, kidney stones exacerbated by said alcohol problem, brain cancer, stomach ulcers, and more that I have yet to uncover, myself.
I was young when my mom passed away, and part of my dream of becoming a physician includes the mission to uncover more about my mother's death, to understand it in the fullest, and to help prevent others from going through the same thing.
